Karen and Ruby
Karen and her companion dog Ruby who supports her with depression were recently recognised in "Friends for Life" at Crufts 2012. Her story helps bring to life the amazing help emotional support dogs can bring.
"My name is Karen Woodage, I have been suffering with Depression for over 20 years. Its been a very long and hard road. My beautiful & amazing little dog Ruby has helped my over come a lot of the problems that I am having with this awful illness, She is the reason that I am still here today. She has helped me to get up in the mornings, she is always there for me and she always knows when I'm having a bad day, she will not leave my side ever and is always there to give me a kiss when i'm sat on my own crying. Ruby hasn't been trained to do these things for me. She never tells me to snap out of it and she never judges me, her love for me is unconditional."
